Mention the offer when you book. One offer per household per visit; offers can’t be combined with each other and don’t apply to work already quoted or completed. Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Fielding ADU Builders team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.
Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate
We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.
How We Price ADU Work
Every job at Fielding ADU Builders is priced job-by-job, off a free written estimate. No hourly rates, no plans to join, nothing to sign up for. You see the full number before a single nail is driven, and that number doesn’t move.
That matters on ADU work more than almost any other project in residential construction. These jobs involve permits, engineering, utility connections, and finish work that all touch each other. A vague bid is a setup for a conversation you don’t want to have mid-project. We put the whole picture in writing upfront, so you know what you’re approving and what you’ll owe when it’s done. That’s not a promotion. That’s just how we operate.
What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out

Nothing. The estimate visit is free.
When we come out, we look at the lot, the garage, the existing structure, or whatever the scope involves. We ask the right questions. We take measurements. Then we put together a written price that covers the actual job at your actual property. You get that number in writing before we ask for anything.
At that point, you can say yes, take some time to think, or say no. No pressure, no follow-up calls designed to wear you down. The estimate is yours to keep either way. Most people find that the conversation itself answers half the questions they had before they called.
When People Usually Call Us
ADU work tends to come up in clusters. Spring is the busiest window – homeowners who spent winter sketching floor plans are ready to move, and families who need a unit finished before fall have a real deadline. Summer stays active, especially for garage conversions, because the weather cooperates and the permitting office is usually moving at a reasonable pace.
Fall is when people who put it off all year start doing the math on whether they can still get a project permitted and under roof before the holidays. Sometimes they can. Sometimes it’s smarter to plan for the following spring. We’ll tell you which one honestly, because starting a job that can’t finish on time doesn’t help anyone.
The other category is the homeowner who isn’t waiting for a season – they need space now, because a family situation changed. An adult child moving back, an aging parent who needs to be closer, a rental unit that changes the numbers on a property they’re already carrying. Those calls come any time of year, and they get the same process: free written estimate, no pressure, honest timeline.
What You Can Expect From Us Either Way

A few things don’t change based on the season or the offer that’s on.
Written price before any work starts. The number you approve on day one is the number on the final invoice. If we open something up and find a condition that changes the scope, we stop and re-quote before continuing. You never get surprised on the back end.
The 365-Day Done Right Promise. Every addition and ADU we build is covered in writing for a full year. If something fails inside that window, we come back and correct it at no charge. The guarantee is spelled out on paper – what it covers, how long it runs, and exactly how we make it right.
Background-checked, uniformed crew. Every person who steps onto your property has been verified. They arrive in uniform. You know who you’re dealing with.
A live person picks up the phone. Around the clock, every day of the week. No voicemail, no callback queue. Someone answers.
These aren’t seasonal commitments. They’re how Fielding ADU Builders works under The Garrison Standard, on every project, every time.
Common Questions
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, completely. We come out, assess your project, and hand you a written price at no charge. You’re not billed for the visit, and there’s no fee that applies toward a future job. If you decide not to move forward, you owe nothing and keep the estimate.
Do you offer financing or a monthly payment plan?
No, and that’s deliberate. We price each job off a free written estimate, and that’s the only pricing mechanism we use. No financing products, no payment plans, no memberships. The written estimate is the price. Call (361) 315-4177 and we’ll get you a number you can plan around.
Can I combine two offers at once?
One offer per household per visit. If you’re not sure which one applies to your situation, ask when you call and we’ll sort it out before you schedule anything. No fine print surprises here.
Does the price change once you’re on-site?
No. The written estimate is the price. The only exception is a genuinely unforeseen condition discovered once work is underway – and in that case, we stop, explain what we found, and give you a revised written price before doing anything additional. You decide whether to proceed. Work does not continue without your approval.
